The chapel as an important center of faith, renewal and hope offers our visitors not only a place of inner-reflection but also a look into our collection of exquisite works of art.
The chapel is a Way of the Cross by Prof. France Gorse with a statue of the Mother of God as well as a dynamic cross by the same artist.
The artist Barbara Möseneder created the altar cross from gold and enamel:
This proclaims the mystery of faith, the holy Eucharist and leads us to the dimension of faith, to the resurrection and glorification.
The tabernacle is richly designed with pictures from the Old and New Testaments that refer to the holy Eucharist and are suggested in various biblical representations. Through its iconoclastic symbolism, the design of the tabernacle is in itself a special invitation to reflect on the mystery of faith in ecumenical theological dimensions.
A special center of attraction is the batik tapestry with the theme of “Emmaus”. Barbara Möseneder created a highly renowned masterpiece here that allows the viewer to experience the resurrection in the large perspective and as the eschatological horizon of the faithful.
The Center however is no castle, but rather an open house, a friendly invitation to all people of good will and interest in good education and culture, for dialogue and meetings.

The symbol and spiritual logo of the center is engraved in the altar where the Eucharistic feast is celebrated daily. The symbol of the circle stands for dialogue, the cross as symbol of holiness, the tree as symbol of rootedness and fertility. The letter “T” stands for the initial of the town in both German and Slovene: Tainach / Tinje. The Slovene work Tinje comes from the celtic word “Tyn”, meaning castle, fortress, enclosure.
